So Good!

This was the perfect little novella to sum up how they get together ❤️❤️

I’m so happy for them and their not even real lol

They guy group text chats just keep getting better and better too 😂😂

This whole book is just majorly swoony. They’ve been friends for years and slowly adjust to being more ❤️❤️

Mechanic Everett Teal and ER nurse Hayden Scott have been best friends for years. Everett recently realized that he's gay and that his feelings for Hayden go beyond friendship, but the problem is that, as far as Hayden knows, Everett is straight. He's finally worked up the courage to make his move while they're away for the weekend attending a friend's wedding. When he realizes the truth, Hayden is understandably surprised and worried that he'll lose his best friend if their romantic relationship doesn't work out. Can Everett convince Hayden that their love is worth the risk?

Hayden and Everett were so cute together! After meeting them in earlier books of the series, I think it's safe to say that the only one who didn't know Everett was in love with Hayden was Hayden. They knew each other well after decades of friendship, but obviously they could still surprise each other. I loved how light and fun their story was, particularly the text message exchanges and Hayden's unlikely friendship with Sorren. (I can't believe they bonded over romance novels, of all things!)

I highly recommend this story for all contemporary romance and romantic comedy fans and can't wait for the next book in the series.

“Would it be so bad to let me fall for you?”
This was such a cute little novella. A good amount of spice. And I absolutely adored Hayden and Everett. I enjoyed watching their relationship progress and the love that they have for each other. Quick, easy read. MM/ Friends to lovers/Roomates/One Bed. Loved it all!

I loved the premise but the execution didn’t deliver. It was too fast even for a novella and would have loved more of the country aspect. I also found Hayden to be very whiny.

Alexandra Hale has officially dipped her toes into the MM world with Hayden and Everett, and she delivered their story with grace and love.

Hale brings us back to Clementine Creek, to the small town where these two lifelong best friends turn to lovers with such ease and perfection it leaves the reader needing that type of love in their own worlds!

Let us all take a bit of time to implement serious talks and slow dances, playing Bright Eyes in the background, to keep our world spinning round.

You'll find all of usual southern charm we expect out of Clementine Creek, and get to visit a few of our favorite couples with this one!

Hayden Scott and Everett Teal have been best friends for forever but one weekend changes everything.

Everett is kind but also gruff, gorgeous, and sure knows how to get more than a motor running at the garage.

He’s all the things Hayden can never have because Everett Teal is straight and lusting after your best friend is a definite no. There’s no way Everett is staring a little too long or purposely brushing hands, right?

However, a breathless kiss in the middle of a coworker’s wedding takes all bets off the table. And Everett Teal isn’t just playing around, he’s playing for keeps.

What to Expect:
✨Best Friends to Lovers
✨Forced Proximity
✨Only One Bed
✨Low Angst
✨No Third Act Break Up
✨Standalone MM Novella

Y'all this was so sweet! Hayden and Everett already have a beautiful friendship when the story starts and to see it blossom into this sweet and steamy relationship was 🔥

This standalone novella in Alexandra Hale's Clementine Creek series is a quick read with lovable characters.

Even though it is a standalone, I do think this could have been a five star read for me if I had read the other books first. I only say this because there are quite a few side characters, such as the Thayor boys at the garage Everett works, that I felt I was suppose to know or be more familiar with to fully appreciate their antics. With how much I adored the brief glimpse of Hayden and Everett's world I definitely plan on reading through the series and revisiting ♥️

And I wouldn't say no to a book about a house in the woods 😉

Out in the Country (as well as the other three Clementine Creek books) available on KU and paperback now!

Check it out for a fluffy, sweet, and steamy read!

I was extremely lucky to get a copy of this ARC from Alexandra. You’d never know this is the first MM she’s written. This is technically a standalone novella, but it’s much better to get the full effect of Clementine Creek by reading them in order.

I loved Everett and Hayden from the minute they were mentioned in Hank’s story. I wanted to see them together and I wanted to watch it happen. Getting to read their love story gave me all the warm and fuzzies with just the right amount of spice.

As with all of Alexandra’s books, there’s more to this story than just the blooming relationship between Everett and Hayden. The Thayer family involvement makes the story 100 times better.

This novella was so cute! I enjoy a good small-town friends-to-lovers romance, and I think I'm a one-bed trope girlie now. I loved that Hayden also reads romance books too! Chapter 16 had me giggling. This is my second mm romance, and I enjoyed it. Also, chapter 18 was so sweet it had me smiling and swooning! This is my first Alexandra Hale, and it definitely won't be my last. Thank You Alexandra Hale for an ARC of this novella I'm extremely grateful. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
