I love this edition, told from Caleb's eyes. The scene I was looking for is in this book, that I remember from the Hallmart Hall of Fame movies and mention every winter during a blizzard - where the rope to the barn breaks and Sarah goes out and gets lost and Grandpa and Caleb save her. It's much shorter in this (short) book than in the memory I have of the movie but I'm so glad I found it.

I enjoyed these books and movies as a kid so this was a nice nostalgic piece. I always noted that the movies followed the books closely and having seen the movie before reading this book I am struck by that again. So much so that I wonder if it was written after the movie. Either way it brings the trilogy to a satisfying conclusion against the backdrop of World War I and the influenza epidemic that followed.

In Caleb’s Story we meet someone from Jacobs past and we are introduced to Cassie, Sarah and Jacobs daughter. This was a good read. Definitely recommend.

I wasn't familiar that there was a 3rd book to "Sarah, Plain & Tall." I was thrilled to find it! What a wonderful story, one that not only gives the reader an update of how the Witting family is doing but also teaches a powerful lesson of forgiveness. What a refreshing read and another beautiful work by Patricia MacLachlan.

Great story that I recommend to you. The whole series of 5 books is good.

This was book three in the Sarah, Plain and Tall series. Once again, the writing was well done, but the subject matter and intensity is too much for such a small book, in my opinion.

I still liked this one but my son got bored with it and didn’t want to finish so I finished on my own. Caleb takes over the story from his older sister and when their estranged grandfather arrives he finds a story to tell in trying to figure out why his father will not talk to and does not welcome grandfather into their home.
