Hilarious series of books that both kids are enjoying. The format is short text with fun pictures that keep the 4 year old entertained but also had longer sections of non-fiction (called Uncle Murray's Fun Facts) that give the 7 year old more detail. Having read this one and Bad Kitty vs Uncle Murray, we can't wait to read the rest of the books.

Very cute kids book :)
He does a good job of explaining why cats hate baths, but why they still sometimes enjoy the water; why cats usually don't need baths but sometimes do; and describes a safe way to care for kitty during and post bath.

Goodness, this book is hilarious. A ton of voice, and character, and some pieces of information make this a super good series for the emergent reader. A first grader who recommended this book to me said, "this is funny" on the page that the cat is bathing and it says "LICK LICK LICK" over and over on the page. The same first grader also found particularly fascinating the part where the author explains the sandpaper tongue of said cat. I was happy to read this and enjoy it so immensely.
