Oh wow. Lily Mayne does it again.

Adam, eternal sweet heart. The world always needs one Adam.

Gloam, bae. He gets the leaves, does the big hammer and cares for our hurting boy.

Last sentence - purple boi. YASSS!!

Wyn so far is my favourite, but Gloam is a close second. Not that I have favourite children.

Wow what an amazing read. Loved the love story of Adam and gloam. Adams willingness to do such risky things to free him and act so selflessly. Was a hard read in places due to the treatment of gloam by his captor. You learn a lot about the darker side of the wastes in this one and definitely some stomach churning moments. Top July read for me

These two were so adorable. This is also my favorite story. I loved the journey across the wastes and the misadventures with a cult and Collector Mary. Lots happening in a good way. Does a book count as epistolary if they have to communicate silently via notebook? Rig was a “dork” with such a big heart and Gloam was not what I expected. Still waters run deep and all that.

This is maybe the sweetest but also scariest in the series yet. I enjoyed the mix of raider camp and journey story lines and I loved how Rig and Gloam worked together to face all of the obstacles they encountered together. Gloam is the sweetest smartest boi and Rig is so happy and dedicated to him. Love love love.

The dystopian hellscape vibe is super strong in this and there are a lot of really gory scenes so just be ready. Lily doesn’t pull any punches with this installment. The body horror and blood/trauma is especially graphic.

I loved this one so much. Adam/Rig is truly selfless in his wish to help Gloam which is so true to him - we first see it with Aury. His motivation made perfect sense to me.

I felt like sometimes things came to Adam too easily but on the other hand I also feel like he was actually good at being out in the wastes and just never got the chance to use the skills he definitely developed living in a raider camp.

This is truly, so far, my fav book in the series.
