Wanted to like it but both the author and the narrator are extremely annoying

It’s a book about cheese. While not life changing this did inspire a deep dive into artisan cheese.

My only complaint is it made me want to cancel all my plans to become a master cheese monger. And eat cheese. Lots of cheese.

Thoroughly entertaining. Every sentence is highly crafted, which makes it a slow read if you want to appreciate every morsel. Point deducted for a few needless f-bombs.

This book was fun and informative. I listened to the audio book, and the narrator was excellent, he really hit the humor in the book and highlighted it. There was humor, incredulity, wonder and excitedness baked into the entire book. I felt the growth of the writers obsession with Cheese, and you could feel them fueling their obsession with event after event. This gave an eye into a world that I have never seen before, and has likely inspired me to look into some local cheese events.

A man goes on a journey to discover the art of cheese made in America, and chronicles his experiences with the experts and enthusiasts he meets along the way. Diverting and enjoyable.

Interesting & funny, Berkowitz shares all he learns about artisan American cheeses, their history, the & culture of the cheese making community worldwide. I want to try them all.
