This one was a bit of a let down after how gripping his other novel (Drowning) was. It’s a bit bland and very predictable, and the motivations behind our villain feel… problematic. I won’t spoil it but I’ll just say that a middle aged white man, formerly a pilot, should probably think twice about writing a book that could be construed as racially insensitive and paint the white man as the savior. On the bright side, the flight attendants were so badass and lovely they earned every star.
