3.5 stars? I don’t know why I forget that I don’t like thrillers because they freak me out. BUT I still liked this one! Took me a bit to get into it but the second half of the book read very quickly and I finished it in a day.

Oh, this was a fantastic book, very complex, with characters having all these connections, and it's strange, I wanted to read the first book because I'd read a teaser of it before it came out, then I couldn't remember the title and now I've read this one, and have the first 1 on request at my library! Life is very strange! Hope there's a 4th book, because the remaining bad guy needs to go down!!

The story was interesting. I learned a lot about tattoos. I liked how incidents from 17 years prior were wrapped up in events going on now. It did seem a wee bit too coincidental that everyone from the two sets of events were connected and knew each other. All in all, it worked, though. There was plenty of technical forensics stuff in the first half and a good bit of action in the second half. When I picked this one up, I didn't realize that it was the third book in the Kate Lange series, so maybe I will check the library to see if they have the previous 2.
