Read like poetry.

Picked this up randomly in the library and was likely drawn to this after watching The Bear on Hulu and finding the bustle of the kitchen enthralling.

This small novella delivered.

Exciting to remember just how much goes into the consumption of a meal; to trace back ingredients, methods and techniques to a tired worker in a kitchen with a story all their own.

It's good to read about food. Interesting narrative perspective, sweet little plotless book, very French. Do not like this translator as much as the one for Painting Time, but a nice little read.
