Not my favorite book in the series, but still fun and worth the read for a child, I think. I'm going to be homeschooling soon and I think this is a book I can use for that. It is educational but still keeps your attention and the story line moving. I would recommend this book. 4 out of 5 stars.

This is supposed to be geared towards kiddos in 3rd-5th grade, according to the publishers website. Not sure I agreed with at least the 3rd grade part. I felt the slave auction was too informative for this age group. I also didn’t like that the main character develops a crush on A. Ham. But I personally enjoyed reading it!
