Disjointed and incomplete, this is still a must read for any fan of Hitchens or anyone who will eventually die. To be sure, Hitchens uses his last breaths to excoriate religion, but he does so with the fresh credibility and poignance that comes with being at death's doorstep.

I agree with the review by Caroline (https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/3236194-caroline) but I'm going to give it 3 stars according to my internal rating system. I didn't hate it but I wish there were more content and length. (Personal note: the best thing about Hitchens dying was reading all the obits and tributes. Went on for days.)

Hitchens is undoubtedly a great writer, but I truly don't understand spending so much time discussing something you find so trivial and unnecessary.

It was a quick read, I am not too familiar with Hitchens, and this probably was not a good introduction seeing as its observations towards the end of his life. Alot focused on his atheism and his defense against the well wishers that come towards the end of someone's life. The whole thing reads the Flowers of Algernon as the cancer gets worse so its a very sad read.
