Found this one to be super enjoyable! Interesting characters, a solid mystery, and just the right level of darkness that I was looking for currently. As an avid reader of the genre, I saw some of the plot points coming a mile away
Spoiler(once the dynamic between Izzy and Frankie is established, Julian's parentage became quite obvious to me)
, but it didn't take away from how readable this book is.

Great opening, but falls apart. Unbelievable progression of the story.

I hate every character in this book. Especially the kid and his dumb rabbit

Story was interesting but the situations Frankie put herself for the sake of Izzie were kind of annoying and the “twist” felt like it was just thrown in there at the end.

This book is the most extreme example of what it’s like to be an older sister and it is done in a great way. While seeing Frankie go to such extreme lengths to help her sister truly get closure was frustrating often, I think it helped depict how important Izzy’s wellbeing was to her. Overall the author did a good job at addressing several very real serious family dynamic issues in an amplified way. I think the very last chapter is what brought this whole book together for me since at that point I had completely forgotten the comment earlier in the book about how Izzy was the reason Frankie was a mom.

Didn’t dislike it but not sure how much I liked it.

Some things felt a bit of a reach—and times it was hard to like the MC, she often put herself in situations that just didn’t make sense.

Her relationship with her sister seemed toxic and at times felt a bit frustrating to “watch”; it was hard for me to really like either of them.

It started off really strong but ultimately it just didn’t vibe for me.
