Horribly depressing. Insightful. Made me realise a few things- how I feel, what certain things that happened to me meant, what I should do about them. John Darnielle struck me again, this time in book form. I cannot wait to read his other work. This book consumed my mind for the 2 days I spent with it.

John Darnielle writes how he talks. If you have ever heard him speaking, you'll have built-in audio for this book.

Wolf In White Van is a book about living through your own decisions and creating worlds to escape to. Reading Wolf In White Van when I did help me to back away from a ledge I found myself on. Whenever I zone out staring at a ceiling, I think about the Trace Italian.
