This was a good book but at times it did get a little boring, but it was good otherwise, it got me to think what would I do if I was in that situation. I never expected what happened at the end. The complete book is really different from the movie, and the book was a lot better.

My mother gets offended when I don’t watch the TV shows that she recommends - FOR THE LAST TIME, I AM NOT WATCHING ‘THIS IS US’, MA - so I thought I’d throw her a bone and pick up one of her book recommendations instead.

I love my mother. I did not love this book.

In fact, I hated this book so much that it’s led me to reevaluate every other book I’ve rated as a one-star read. Like, The Fountainhead was trash, but - hey - I learned something about architecture and it wasn’t THIS book, so maybe I’m being too hard on ol’ Ayn Rand. She could have done much worse!

(J/K - I’m never being too hard on Rand.)

Anyway, this was poorly written grief-porn caked in layers upon layers of IT’S NOT A FLASHBACK; IT’S A METAPHORRRR cliché, and y’all, it’s going to be super-weird when my mother asks me what I thought of this book during our weekly Zoom, because ugh. UGH.

Heartbreaking, especially the unexpected ending.

Okay at the beginning I really thought I couldn’t do it, having a young daughter myself I just didn’t think I could make it through this book. I am so glad I did. This book was WOW. Shocking ending I truly wasn’t expecting.

I really enjoyed this book until the end, and I must say I'm quite disappointed. Somehow having Anna die at the end was a little too contrived and then her sister miraculously gets better. Sure it's a sudden twist in plot, but why put it in the last few pages of the story?

No me gustó que tuviera tantos puntos de vista diferentes. 7 puntos de vista y ni siquiera seguían la misma linea de tiempo la mayor parte del tiempo. Aún así, la historia me gustó mucho
