3.5 star. Sadly, it didn't live up to the hype (and to the previous books' awesomeness) that is surrounding it. It was still enjoyable, but not as much as the others.
Longer review coming soon.

The book didn't flow for me like the others. I skipped over the last 20%.

description

"You make me crazy every other day of the week."

I really enjoyed Elastic Hearts and it was a great addition to the Hearts series. The prologue intrigued me a lot, I was curious to see how everything would play out between Victor and Nicole.

"You're never going to be able to forget who makes you feel like this."

After a couple of years of marriage Nicole is getting a divorce, Victor is appointed has her attorney. They have history and old feelings are resurfacing. All eyes are on this divorce so they have to make sure to not get involved. Victor tries real hard but eventually he succumbs to his wants and needs. There was fireworks every time Nicole and Victor came together.

"An earthquake could have shaken, my door could have been pounded down by a million paparazzi, and I still wouldn't have moved, because his hand on my face and that gaze was the only think I felt I needed."

I absolutely adored Nicole. She was just the nicest and most awesome person. Victor was just my type of guy. Come on! How many book boyfriends out there love Rap music?? Let me tell you: NOT A LOT OF THEM! Both were trying to control their feelings around each other but it was just too hard. Victor normally has control over his life and everything around him. Nicole makes him lose control. The scenes were the passionate Victor came out to play were the hottest. I was pissed off at Victor a couple of times but I could understand where he was coming from, and eventually he made it up to Nicole.

"You make me feel desperate for you, Nicole. I can't stop thinking about you. I can't bear the thought of you with another man."

I also enjoyed seeing what the couples from the previous books were up to. Made me miss them again. I enjoyed the secondary characters and hope that one or two gets his or her own story. Especially Marcus had me very intrigued. I would love for him to get his HEA. Claire did a great job with this book. The writing was excellent and it had a steady pace. I am looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next.

"I love being able to come home and have you as my sanctuary. You've built that for me, with me, and I want us to have that forever."

Awesome

A great addition to the series. I loved Victor and Nicole story. So good. I'm so glad I read this and so sad the series is over. I will definitely be reading other books by this author.

What can I say? Claire has done it again! Every time I read a book by her I can't stop and get in this major book hangover afterwards. You get it all in this book romance, comedy, some drama and the sexual tension was off the damn charts!!! I had to fan myself and put my iPad down while reading this book. I always had a soft spot for Oliver (Kaleidoscope Hearts) but Victor is my new favorite. Anybody who has read the other books in this series will not be disappointed in this one! #Vicole4Life!!

This was a muddled 2nd chance romance. Into each other, she's forever goading him, he's wary because of his career. With good reason as he could get struck off. But the rest, the too'ing and fro'ing, the other guys, the games. It was all just boring.
Oh yes and what does 'I was always crept out by him' mean? I'm assuming in this context she meant 'creeped' out by him. Must have been a spell check thing but seriously, I get hung up on such details.
