Honestly a great memoir, better than I expected. I enjoyed Heather’s humor throughout. I think although her opinions and feelings of the lds church may be controversial (especially to current members) she never is bashing the church, she’s just telling her experiences. I think that’s very respectable. Also recommend listening to her narration in the audiobook, her mimicking some of the accents is gold.

Very interesting. I enjoyed her description of the strangeness of the temple, especially as an exmormon who got out before I went through that experience. I also enjoyed her discussion of her dynamics of her relationship with her husband. Everything else felt like it wasn’t fleshed out enough. You hear almost nothing about her daughters and how her career affected or benefited their relationship as a single parent household. Additionally all of her friends and costars are introduced in such rapid succession that I couldn’t differentiate any of them. Besides Dre they were just random names. The things she chose to include vs exclude were very strange. Her emotional reaction to Dre’s brother, Tim, dying when we had never heard of him before in the book was kind of weird. I wish there was more organization. I understand there’s a bunch of Mormon references but what I needed to understand this book was more references to forgotten important pieces of her life. Definitely feel like Tim should have been mentioned earlier. Also that whole segment with Six-six unnecessary.
