Oh, Jesus. I don't really mind clichés in thrillers, as long as they're done well. But this was too much, even for me. You could literally see them coming from miles away and half the time spent reading I just went "Oh no, no, no." aaaaand she went there, every single time.
The first 100 pages were fine, I was into the story, but then the MC pulled more and more ridiculous shit and kept getting away with it.
Cool concept, still not a good book.

Good premise for a story but needed to be edited better. I skipped a lot of it to get to the end as a lot of the writing was rubbish and served no purpose. Good twist in it though

What happens when your ‘perfect life’ starts to unravel with one wrong choice. The tale of a woman who lost her moral compass.

I don't usually continue reading something I'm not enjoying but it was a quick read and I skimmed the last half. I found the plot ridiculous and the characters were unlikable. I assume the constant questioning from everyone is meant to ramp up the tension but it was just really annoying. Oh and we get it, they're rich.

This book is about Sophie. Sophie leads a quite comfortable life with a rich husband, a business she doesn’t take too seriously and two children. Sophie sends round robin letter every Christmas telling everyone about her achievements that year. Sophie gets one of these letters sent back to her with a nasty remark on it each year for three years. The last one upsets her the most and outs into place a sequence of events which changes everything.

I was really disappointed with this book. I was expecting a psychological thriller but I really wouldn’t describe it as that at all. Although there was a mystery of who sent the letters I would class this more as general women’s lit. The book had a tongue in cheek element all the way through it. I found myself on Sophie’s side even though I probably shouldn’t have been. I had a problem that some of the characters that were spoken about, I couldn’t remember who they were in relation to the main character. I probably would have enjoyed this book more if I had a better idea of the story as this was a totally different story as to the one I was expecting.
