These made a great Hallmark series but I find the books a tad dull. This is the second in the series I read and I don’t plan to read more. Though I didn’t plan to read this, so you never know.

It just got worse and worse, I think I have to be done with this series, at least for a while, the pace is the worst thing about it. There was nothing to get the reader hooked or feeling suspenseful until the last 20 pages. A couple of the characters are just so “pick-me” or so “manly men” that hearing the constant “I’m different than other girls” and “He is just so protective of me, I can’t get mad at him” gets so old, so fast, and I just can’t stand to keep reading from this characters perspective anymore. Maybe I’ll revisit down the line, because I’m interested in what happens with some characters, but I can’t do it right now.

I love the relationships in these books! I also love that they are set in a small town, and give me great recipe ideas!  The recipe for the namesake of this book sounds so incredible!!!   The plot itself feels a bit eh, but it's still an enjoyable way to spend my time!
