Ohhhhh Hunter and Sutton I loved you! Hunter is up there with Cam! I loved this one so much! Hunter and Sutton are family rivals and their hate for each other is freaking hot! I loved how honest Hunter was with his feelings. His ex he didn’t let lead him on and he was always upfront with Sutton. Their chemistry was magnetic and I loved watching things go from fake to real and the fight in between! I loved how caring he was with her! Just the ooey gooeies over here!

2.5, maybe?

While I can see why a lot of people would enjoy this book, it just was not for me. There were a lot of elements I liked within the book, some of our characters' backstories, where they wanted to go, and the challenges they faced in that sense due to their upbringing...but something about the writing style sometimes made conversations feel forced and the characters shallow.

It’s official. If Hannah Gray writes it, I’m going to read it! This book was impossible to put down. The enemies to lovers is not my favorite trope but Hannah Gray did it beautifully in this book. I read it one sitting. I think Hunter and Sutton are my favorite so far. The plot of this book was amazing and had some twists I did not expect or see coming. Hunter and Sutton knew each other as kids. After their families have a falling out, they have learned to hate each other. Sutton transfers to the dance program at Brooks University and now Hunter and Sutton have been paired up to train and dance together for a charity event. Their banter and watching them grow and develop their relationship had me feeling all the emotions! I have literally binged this series in a matter of days.

Great book to use as a palate cleanser. Fun, short book. Enjoyed it

This is a palate cleanser.

I typically love hockey romances and yes there’s usually not much of a plot besides the romance but this was even more than usual. The plot felt a bit jumpy and rushed instead of drawing things out and working through thought processes etc.

That being said, there were some sweet moments and I might go back and read the first books in the series so I can see the beginnings of the other couples but it’s not high on my TBR.

Overall, I would recommend other hockey romances before this one.

Chosen Boy is the fourth book in The Puck Boys of Brooks University Series by Hannah Gray, featuring an unforgettable enemies to lovers/fake dating romance for Hunter and Sutton that brings steam and all the feels! Two MCs from rival families fighting to follow their own path? Sign me up! Hunter and Sutton are supposed to hate each other because of drama between their parents, but when they are partnered together for a charity dance performance, they quickly begin to see each other in a new light. The connection, the sparks, the angst, and tension had me riveted to their evolving relationship that was supposed to be fake, but felt very real, very quickly! I was again swept away on a roller coaster of emotions that took me from laughter to tears to swooning and back again. The world building of this series is just phenomenal, and every character adds to the story. The plot twists shocked me, in some cases made me cry, and have me really impatient for the next book!! Although, in all honesty, I feel like my heart needs to prepare for Cade and Haley’s story, because I know that they both have backstories that will probably wreck me, but I need more of them anyway! I wholeheartedly recommend Hunter and Sutton’s story!! I loved that the last chapter was written like an epilogue with a time jump! It made my heart so happy!
