This was an absolutely adorable NA romance. Featuring Birdie from Runaway Girl now a college freshman, and gentle giant, Jerimiah, who she meets at a frat party she doesn’t really want to attend, this is a sort of Beauty and the Beast trope romance about self-confidence, grief and of course the healing power of love™️. Is it a little questionable because Birdie is 5 seconds into university and Jerimiah is a college senior and sometimes those dynamics can be a little skeezy, yes potentially. But in this author’s hands, it’s beautiful.

This ‘book’ that was more like a pamphlet was incredibly fast-paced and incredibly short. It skipped right through any kind of hard situation and yet managed to be a complete story at the same time. It was sweet and endearing and spicy and it sailed right past any kind of roadblocks in the romance. It was right to the point, and while I enjoy a longer, more developed story, I can appreciate this one.
