This sequel was definitely different than I expected!
Spoiler I didn't really expect zero not being a real dude or him being evil and all that stuff
but I really liked it!

I didn't like it as much as the first book but I liked the new characters introduced and the back story with Sasuke and how
Spoiler he got sick
. I know a lot of people wanted more warcross gameplay in it but honestly for me, I was fine with it because sometimes I skim over the gameplay anyways lol I'm more interested in the plot than the actual gameplay of a game of warcross tbh.

But yeah, it was a decent sequel!

This was not a disappointment! Very glad I picked up this conclusion to the Warcross duology. I wasnt able to guess the plot twist si I was very shocked by what happened. The ending of this was great and very thought provoking to our current technological focused society.

The first book had the majority of the world building, but it was slightly expanded on in this one which I thought kept it fresh and intriguing. However, some of the tech stuff this time confused me and felt more like an easy way out. The part with the video flashbacks was a little long and started to lose me, and also felt a little too easy. But that's where the plot picked up and I was more engaged after. Crazy ending.

As per the norm, not quite as good as Warcross, but VERY close. Excellent twists and turns throughout the whole book, and I loved the Hideo/Emika romance moments, as well as the Roshan/Tremaine romance!!! EEEEE

I think I liked the first book better.
This book is good especially the ending but the pacing felt off to me.
I feel the the warcross aspect of the universe was very under utilizes. They also tried to add depth to characters at the end by giving short backstories to each of them consecutively which felt very cheap tbh. Also i didn't relate much to any of the characters.
Still even with its flaws it's enjoyable cuz of the technology and the world building of it .
