Childhood! Calvin and Hobbes are the epitome of kids being kids and within that, being simultaneously assholes and thoughtful little brains. I'm always a fan of their crazy adventures, their snow-creatures, Stupendous Man, the whole pages where it's just him not wanting to eat his food. But the pages of him just being a kid who feels really small and needs his tiger, or his parents, always made me fall more in love with these two little guys. I'm getting a Calvin and Hobbes tattoo in the winter!

Everyone loves Calvin and Hobbes. Well I'm not sure that's true, but it sure is one of the highest rated books on Goodreads. I guess I'm really not the target audience for Calvin or Hobbes - I'm definitely usually rooting for his parents. And I kind of prefer through stories, there really isn't much growth in Calvin and Hobbes. And Calvin is basically a brat. But it is witty. And Hobbes is usually awesome. Curious to see how the later strips compare to the earlier ones.
