That was a crazy book. I’m definitely going to read another by the author after I take some time to digest this one.

This is my second Mark Edwards read, and it's another 5*. What an absolute page turner this was. The characters were all great, lots of twists here, Edwards is a master at creating tension.
And talk about nightmarish in-laws...

Gemma and Elliot fall into one of those 'cute-meet' scenarios that you see in movies and you just are full of happiness for them. One of the most stressful parts of any relationships is meeting in-laws, and for some people you have to just grin and push through til the visit is over. But what happens when things just go to far? How do you handle it when bad things start happening and you start questioning your own thoughts?
Mark Edwards does an amazing job scaring readers with psychological thrillers that make you visualize terrifying things happening to everyday people. He keeps you hanging on every word wanting to know what happens next and this book delivers!!

OMG! This was my first Mark Edwards book and won't be my last! I absolutely loved how this story evolved. The ending had some twists that I didn't see coming and then that last sentence!!!! I had goosebumps because I was shocked and upset because now I want more!

I had the audiobook read by James Langton. Unfortunately I didn’t gel with the narrator.

It’s been donkeys years since I last read anything by this author, but this one came highly recommended. That old chestnut the FOMO was rife, so in I dived.

Elliott is 38 single living with his cat Charlie in a big house with a flash car when Emma enters his life in a whirlwind, they marry. Then she asks if her parents can come to stay for a few weeks. Then things start going wrong.

I found it slow to get going. I didn’t particularly like any of the characters. However in the second half things really picked up, and got a lot more interesting. I enjoyed the twists and turns.

‘Epileptic shock’ made me chuckle. It should be Anaphylactic shock.

So it’s one that’s worth persevering with. It ends strongly. I think it’s a rarity where I think I might have enjoyed the book more than listening.

Here to stay is a fantastic book, it kept me hooked and I looked forward to continuing with it whenever I had to out it down. There were no boring parts that I wanted to skip through.

The owner of a nice house in a middle class area only has his life of luxury because he got lucky with a website that he setup. He made a lot of money which he invested into his house and he seems to have everything, apart from someone to share it with.

That all changes when someone is looking round his garden, there is an open garden so people have been looking round. This particular person happens to save him from a new sting which he is allergic to and from there they fall in love and get married.

The wife gets informed that her parents are coming home from France but they don't have anywhere to stay, so they decide to let them stay in their house until they get things sorted, which is where things start to go wrong.

One of the best thrillers I’ve read in a long while. Engaging from start to finish. Twist and turns I didn’t see coming. Couldn’t put it down!
The in-laws from hell! That’s the only way I can describe this book.
Elliot married Gemma after a whirlwind romance.
Then they invite her parents and sister to visit for a while.
A while turns in weeks of torture which drives Elliot insane!
I was at the edge of my seat eager to see what happened next.
The ending was shocking!
Loved it !!!
Highly recommend ♥️
Africans can relate to this too. Having in-laws visit and interfere with your life! Terrible

A fun fast read

I love twisty sneaky plotting and this book delivers. The main character is also sufficiently engaging to keep the reader caring what happens next. All in all this was a very enjoyable summer read.
