Read this based on my friend Mouse's review and glad I did! It was a delight and a great fun little break. Easy quick read, fun, lighthearted, cute, and ended up with a bit more feeling and soul than I expected. Nice!
Dave the orc is my favorite character so I'm pleased to see he has his own book!
The only thing I can really complain about is that I didn't love some of the humor or some of Scott's stuff but that's more subjective.

Wasn't sure how to explain that there are multiple descriptions of Grub/Q/Tarquin's body that is unhealthy. He doesn't have an eating disorder - he was being held prisoner for 5 years and didn't get enough to eat or enough nutrition so it's commented on that his ribs are showing, etc.jjamieww's review against another edition

So overall this was a fun read. It was full of quips and reaccuring jokes. There was also the added affect of the reader knowing what is happening before the narrator does which is fun.
The flirty banter was so fun and seeing them get more comfortable with each other as the story progressed. The only things that bothered me werethe continuous mention of the age gap between the love interests. Describing Quinn as youthful almost childlike while saying Loth was so old like all the time. Just wasn’t necessary. Also the elf incest like why?
Loved Dave’s contributions and I think the author wrote other books as well so I might look into those.
