overall, i would say lore olympus is an average read, a bit mediocre, but do manage to be exceptionally interesting and fun, the pretty art style is also a bonus. it has very strong and charismatic secondary/background characters and play around with greek mythology (and your knowledge of it quite well.)

however, i think the biggest downside (for me) was that : 1) the story is a bit over the place, all the time and it is hard to keep track of everything, especially since some elements are introduced at some point but not talked about before another 5 or 10 chapters so (if at all), 2) lack of focus on background characters (who have fleshed out storyline of their own), which similar to my previous point : when storyline for those characters are introduced, it can take quite a while before it become relevant again

example :

the eros/psyche storyline is introduced very early on (around the first volume / early first season) but isn't relevant again until a hundred chapters, meanwhile, yes, hades and persephone are the main characters, it's true, go through like 2 or 3 storylines. i would say the author has trouble balancing

3) might be a controversial take buuuuuuuuut persephone while a character you get attached too easily isn't that strong / charismatic main protagonist and i would say you can get bored of her after a while.

I hate Apollo, Minthe, Zeus, and a few others.  These characters were written to be unlikeable and written very well.  I loved the story and the artwork.  I loved seeing the relationship between Hades and Persephone develop.
