I signed up for a book about a catfish but left with so much more. I can't even put into words how this book has made me feel but I highly recommend. ALSO, please look up the trigger warnings before reading.

I loved this so so so much and am sad to know this was just sitting on my bookshelves for more than a year. The topics explored are pretty dark and intense, but this author does so much justice to it. She's my favourite author when it comes to accurate representations of mental health.

The audiobook was also excellent and the narrator did such an amazing job, especially with the intense and rambley chapters.

this book 🥺 I really felt for April - she’s been through so much and her struggles throughout the novel are deeply relatable. I loved watching her grow and mature as a woman, and I’m still just so happy that she got her happy ending in the end
(got me so much that the only emoji to express my feelings was this gross one. it’s ok)

I devoured this book in a day. I loved April and her flaws - it made her human and I loved how she morphed into Gretel in front of my eyes. It was a 5* read until the final couple of chapters. I felt that there was a lot to tie up and it felt like an easy way out kind of ending from the author. Other than that, I loved it! Going to have a look at more Holly Bourne and get reading! Fans of Marian Keyes and Taylor Jenkins Reid’s more romance focused novels will love this!
