Stranger Child

I definitely recommend this book I couldn't put it down. The child is definitely strange, but her father has done something beyond a childs trust. Not for sure I like the ending but otherwise it was great.

The audiobook experience was great. I couldn't put it down. Everything was very good other than
Spoilerthe brother coming from dead, it was very predictable

"When Emma Joseph met her husband David, he was a man shattered by grief. His first wife had been killed outright when her car veered off the road. Just as tragically, their six-year-old daughter mysteriously vanished from the scene of the accident."

I have this thing about little kids, which is a tad strange considering I have my own little kids. They can be awfully creepy. So that's why this title caught my eye. That and my recent romance with the mystery genre.

I have such mixed feelings about this book. It wasn't bad and it wasn't great. It was a page turner for sure and the story had many subplots and twists. They were almost too much though. I felt that they slowed things down even though everything tied together beautifully at the end.

Again, pretty stilted writing. But kept me hooked.

Figured out a lot, but enjoyed the read

The action and the well rounded, complex characters kept me hooked. Read it straight through in one afternoon. Would read more from this author.

Six years ago Natasha Joseph disappeared after a car accident which killed her mother Caroline. Her father David has since remarried and lives with his new wife Emma and baby son Ollie. DI Tom Douglas and his team have been called to a body which has been discovered in woods - a young girl dressed in a white nightdress. They contact David Joseph for a DNA sample just in case it's Natasha. But now Natasha has turned up at the house and won't talk to David and Emma about where she has been and with who and there is no way she will talk to the police. A gripping story from start to finish which contains abduction, betrayal and family secrets which affect Tom as much as the Josephs. Loved it.
