what a gd feat r u kidding me LEARNED SO MUCH must read, i hope in schools? so many notes and follow up books/art/people to read about!!

Chap 8, 2:32 - Resisting Africans (from slavery) were essentially always cast as violent criminals (stamped from the beginning....)
Chap 36, 16:28 - too many black ppl and too many black study scholars were looking at themselves outwards from them selves to the world at the center of european standards. Asante - multiple ways of seeing the world, being in the world, studying the world and theorizing the world

Chap 40, 19:01 - Sacrifice, uplift, persuasion and education have not eradicated, are not eradicating and will not eradicate racist ideas let alone racist policies. Power will never self sacrifice away from its self interest. Power cannot be persuaded away from its self interest. Power will never educate away from self interest.

Interesting premise and topics but written very densely. Had to reread some passages to fully understand what was being said. Not engaging or well done story telling.

The most brilliant history book ever written. My favourite book of all time. There is so much we don't know.

The information was presented in an easy to follow way with conviction and facts that laid out our nations history. 10/10 recommend as a must read for racial history!
