Another one from the Booker 23 longlist, which I now see has (quite rightly) not made the shortlist. I read it, tome passed, one month on and I've forgotten most of it already.

This really grew on me while reading. Sunday is such a complex character and the ableism towards her made me furious to read. Maybe you as a reader did see the turn of events coming from afar, but I don't think that this is what this novel is really about. It also goes hard against the existing prejudice, that people on the autistic spectrum don't have emotions. It was great to see how Sunday handled hers, but also how she just accepted them, as well as she accepted situations, which were lying in the past and couldn't be changed anymore.
And the story really raises the question, who in this book doesn't understand how to behave and has no etiquette.
