This is probably my least favorite book out of the Royals series. Verity comes across as naive idiot despite being raised by a woman who supposedly groomed her to be a Duchess, and the men?? No redeeming qualities in site. Given how much I loved Rath and Remy in the previous series, I expected to have ONE guy who I could kind of understand the heroine having a connection with. None of these guys even want her and continually insult her throughout the entire book. It feels very rushed given how drawn out the Lords saga was and how emotionally charged the Dukes series felt. Especially given that they basically rape Verity the entire book. Yes she “signed” a covenant but ??? it took away her right to choose/she is given 0 agency over any of it unlike Story and Vinny who at least were SOMEWHAT respected at points. Verity doesn’t stand out because she could literally be anyone and it would be the same story. Also the ending?? Extremely rushed and flat compared to the buildup we got. At least in previous series we got to see the men have some sort of attraction towards the heroine but this was just 500 something pages of them talking about how awful she was/ugly/how much they didn’t want her. I’m guessing the authors are gonna lead us to the men finding her desirable as she progresses in her pregnancy but..that’s not enough to redeem any of the crimes they committed against her. Over all let down by the book.

3 Stars because I actually finished it this time.

The ending wasn’t even a thought in my brain but it should have been. I hate all of them. They ALL need to get their heads out of their ass. The Monarch’s angle would have been soooooo much better if Verity actually wanted to be a princess, had an actual relationship with the princes and they made a difference together. (I know that’s more on the authors to have written that as the plot.) I just really need to know how they plan to make the Princes even a fraction redeemable. Verity needs a backbone, she kinda grew one at the end there but I have the feeling that’s about to go away. And some of this could have went differently if they treated each other like human beings instead of breeding machines. And also admitted they were actually starting to develop feelings. Ya know, like adults do.

I am traumatized.
This traumatized me.
5 stars.

I can't even... What is wrong with me? How did I love this so much?? I swear I go to therapy.

The authors warned us readers that this book had some real trauma monsters that we'd love to hate. They warned us we had no idea what we were getting into. I thought I was prepared. I wasn't.

Now all there is to life is waiting for November 10th, when the next book will fucking finally be available. Until that day, I'm not living, I'm fucking surviving.

Goddamn.

I waited a to write this review……because the book hangover IS REAL!

As we’ve all come to know and love from Sam and Angel, these broken, twisted men just beg you to find a reason to love them. In the Lords, they were best friends. In Dukes, the were brothers and broken best friends. In Princes?! These boys are brothers through and through! They might seem spoiled, but these men pack a punch and a half!

The kinks, the sex, the drama, and the flat out insane plot twist will have you begging for more! If you love dark and depraved, check this one out.

And don’t discount Verity, the West End gutter rat! She’s not here for a good time, she’s here to conquer!!!

“To create is to reign.”
