Clawed & Cornered is a delicious mix of werewolves, romance, and Norse mythology. A prequel novella for the Children of Fenrir series, it’s piqued my interest into jumping into the series.

Sonja is a strong FMC with a haunted past and is working toward a better future. She shares great chemistry with Raul, a mysterious man who walked into her bar one night.

I really enjoyed the author’s writing style and look forward to continuing with the series. Note that there is an abrupt cliffhanger. If you’re into paranormal fantasy reads with shifters, mythology, and some romance, this fast-paced story might be a great choice for you!

Clawed & Cornered is suspenseful, mysterious, and just the right amount of romantic. This book was a quick read, but I really enjoyed it. I loved the inclusion of having a character that was part indigenous and was also familiar with a less popular religion. The characters were well rounded and I loved watching the way they interacted with each other.
I only have two grievances: 1. both Sonya and Raul must be only trying to date mean people because they are both convinced that traits that make them more interesting will drive away other people, and 2. I wish it were longer. I will definitely be reading the new book in the series soon.
