HIGHLY recommend the audiobook! Molly really brings the words to life with a lot of flair.

All that being said - this is NOT a book of only rainbows and sunbeams - I cried MULTIPLE times listening to this. Molly and her family suffered some truly terrible losses when she was very young - her mother, baby sister, and teenage cousin were all killed in a car accident with her father driving (her older sister and her and her father were the only survivors). Molly talks so vulnerably and emotionally about what that horrible experience was like from her very young perspective, and how growing up without a mother affected her. Her father was also a very complicated guy - so fun and vivacious, but poor in boundaries and in and out of heavy drinking.Â
The book takes us from her childhood, growing up in Ohio, to NYC, LA, through auditions and misses, finally to SNL and beyond. Itâs an incredibly moving, vulnerable, and hilarious ride, and Molly narrates it all perfectly. Seriously, you have to listen to the audio just to hear her say âDEEEEE-licious!â on multiple occasions - she obviously had a ball with this!Â
Canât recommend this highly enough - itâs cliche, but, youâll laugh, youâll cry, and youâll ultimately have a really good time.
