Molly Shannon has such a wonderful and joyous outlook on life. I didn’t know much about her before and I still really enjoyed this memoir. She definitely has a story to tell and a unique outlook.

HIGHLY recommend the audiobook! Molly really brings the words to life with a lot of flair.

I've read Tina Fey, Amy Pohler and Trevor Noah's memoirs. Molly Shannon's is my favorite because I felt I was truly getting to know the human being, not just the comedian telling me funny stories about their lives.

I liked this so so much. I liked the non-linear style, and I couldn't believe how upbeat Ms. Shannon has stayed through her whole life. Her relationship with her father felt disconcertingly familiar. She really captured the helplessness that children feel when their primary caregivers are inconsistent. But I think the most important part of this book is that Ms. Shannon doesn't apologize for any of her success. She easily says how successful things were and how funny they were and she's genuinely proud of her hustle without trying to downplay it. It was really refreshing. Absolutely recommend listening to the audiobook.

Molly Shannon has such a fun, whimsical voice and I loved hearing her tell her story with such heart, humor and honesty. Molly has experienced such profound loss, and her appreciation for life and all of its wild experiences is so admirable. She's got such a positive outlook, despite her grief. And I loved hearing references to her SNL character, Mary Catherine Gallegher, as well as her sidekick role in one of my favorite movies, 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘺.⁣

If you're a fan of celeb memoirs, add this one to your list!⁣
