Mhairi’s books are never fully about romance. They come across that way, but they are truly about character growth. They are about women overcoming obstacles in life and becoming stronger. This book was about female loyalty and realizing that you deserve better.

TW: gaslighting, psychological abuse, manipulation, etc.

A really fun little romcom, I liked Harriet instantly and loved following her, at timed disastourous love life. I loved (some) of the female friendships included to

After so many books from Miss McFarlane, I finally found 1 that I loved. Mad About You is about toxic relationship. The plot touches me and I finally sympharize with Harriet. She is such strong heroine.

She is a survivor of abusive raltionship. With Miss McFarlane talented writing, the story speaks for itself. The twist and turn keeping me on my edge. I loving it.

A wonderful read.

Enjoyable!! Female friendships, underlying romance, but good vibes.

3.5 stars! This author gets better and better with each book (full disclosure that I didn't enjoy pre-2017 books, but I've enjoyed all her new releases).

This was a triumph!

I thoroughly enjoyed my encounter with Harriet. She felt genuine and authentic, Mhairi’s books are so easy to read and also incredibly fulfilling.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for gifting me this arc in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

Another absolute 5 star read from Mhairi Mcfarlane!! All of her novels feature strong, independent women that I am desperate to be best friends with.
Harriet is a brilliant lead character, she’s just broken up with Mr-Right-On-Paper and moved in with a stranger. I loved her friendship with Lorna and Cal was written perfectly. The last quarter had me on the edge of my seat and I stayed up desperate to find out what had happened. I now have a serious book hangover from this one! A must read, then go back and read her others.
Thank you so much for this arc

I liked the pace, the unique story line and how the writer approached different relationships and how some people are more susceptible to toxic relationships not due to their own faults but due to their trusting and loving nature. wonderful book, took me out of a slump (it was an audiobook), by how easy it was to consume. It was easy to rage and laugh and aww and honestly thats a great combination for a romance.
