It's a little all. Over the place and skips making you feel like mild whiplash. Mentions names of people that never had names in the beginning near the end and just keeps you wondering what they're talking about.
At times the main character was extremely frustrating. But it is nice art and an interesting story. It could be a lot better in pacing and deciding what to actually focus on.

Amazing! I don't know if this is based off the same story I read as a kid but either way it's fantastic.

The art was fine. I liked parts of it, and I like the fairy tale aspects, but the characterization seemed a little all over the place and it felt like the characters often did things because the story MADE them, not organically. I’ll probably still look up volume 2 whenever it comes out, assuming the library gets a copy.

I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would! The characters are so diverse and well rounded. Every page draws you in to a mystical, cursed world. The artwork is enchanting. This is a series to watch.
