Another great collection by Mosaic. I love Christmas and reading about it makes me all giddy and ready to start the season. These stories really put you in the mood. Besides Chautona Havig, Lorna Seilstad and Johnnie Alexander I had not read any of the authors and I was glad to be able to add some new authors to my to-be-read list. The stories are heartwarming and make you want to drop everything and just get cozy and read!

If you need new authors to try or just want to escape reality and step into the Christmas time then grab this collection!!

I received a copy of this book through Celebrate Lit. I was not required to post a positive review. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

When I picked up The Heart of Christmas I was fully expecting it to be a collection of Christmassy romances, however only two of the novellas were. I loved how besides learning to love and trust another person, there were also lesson on forgiveness, moving on from grief, loving someone who caused you pain, etc. I enjoyed each of these novellas, some from some new-to-me authors nd a couple by an old favorite (Chautona Havig) and a newer favorite (Sara Davison).

While I enjoyed the whole anthology, I do want to say that if I could only pick one favorite it would have to be Star Light by Sara Davison. This was just a unique story that had an unexpected and surprising ending. I also liked how we follow Felicity in the present day and then Calla, the innkeeper’s wife in Bethlehem, where we get a (fictional) account of the Nativity from her point of view. There is so much more I want to say but I don’t want to give away spoilers!

Overall, this was a great collection of novellas and I highly recommend picking it p for the holiday season! 4/5 Stars.
