Conway Gentry is a tortured soul and Edge really shows you how far he's gone from the boy next door who loved Erin. I loved the story so much that I was loathed to put it down, it's a real page turner and you'll love this one if you've enjoyed every other Gentry brothers book.

Conway and Roslyn's story is another great one by Cora Brent. I love that we get to kinda check in with our favorite characters from her other books in this series. We also get to meet some new people as well.

I am looking forward to the next installation of the series.

I received an ARC for an Honest review

I know this series is essentially over (save for the Christmas story I'm just about to read) and that makes me kinda sad. Because save for Deck's story and Fall, this is a solid 4* series to me and honestly I'm quite sad to be saying goodbye to Emblem and the Gentry Boys.

I love Conway so muchhhhh! I thought this would include way more of the illegal side and the dangerous world Con was a part of but I’m not complaining, it had enough. I loved the fact that their shared past wasn’t an obstacle in their relationship but more of a bond between them. I did shed the tears in the scenes where everything came clean between the Gentrys and I’m excited for the next adventure the couple and the whole family will have!

You know... It's always super hard to read (and write) a story about a guy who falls in love with his deceased ex-gf's BF...
In my opinion (and when I look at the great ratings on goodreads, I don't share that opinion with a lot of people), this novel just could not live up to my expectations. In fact, it was really the book I liked the least in the series.

What made me mad?
Well, first, no safe sex.
Second, Roslyn.
I mean, seriously, this girl??? Conway is her deceased BF's boyfriend!!! And I get that she doesn't like him in the beginning, that she pushes him away. In fact, I loved that.
But just as it happens in sooo many other novels, she tells us, she tells herself she doesn't really like him but then she just lets him get her off and then they even go further and I was just shocked.
I mean, she went there to watch a freaking movie - at least, that's what she tells herself, that's what she tells us. So where is your freaking backbone when he touches her?? Non-existent.

But hey, that's not the only thing that riled me up. Because, I mentioned that before, she and Con have history!! And she doesn't even mention that during their hook up. So... Yeah, not realistic for me. Also, made her look like an idiot.

Don't get me wrong, I then skipped to the ending because I was like: Hey, that can't be it. You can do it! But then I got disappointed there as well and I was like... Yeah, sorry.
What annoyed me about the end?
Well, there's this whole
pregnancy thing
and they are so close to be together together but then again, Con does not disclose his secrets; he basically still lives on the edge and does not fully open up to Roslyn and I just couldn't put up with him anymore.

Not finished...
