Such a thoughtful book with clear advice and specific pointers for the kind of creative life I want to lead. Will be applying what I learned here for sure!

It was a decent read. I kind of zoned out with some of the chapters but I was still interested overall. I would recommend to a friend.

A lovely little book full of all different kinds of wisdom. Makes you feel calmer and more contented just to read it.

Read it in 2 sittings!

Some good advice here, well worth a read to see if something resonates with you. I realize I've read a lot of creativity books, which is why this one may have not seemed groundbreaking, but at times it also comes off a bit trite. The organization, with numbered "myths" and random quotes and asides didn't flow well for me.

This has some great points and lovely quotes! They're kind of few and far between, though, in the sort of more muddled string of musings and literary evidence that was, what sounds like, the author's mindfulness exercises in her journal. But I appreciate her brain, she's clearly so intelligent and also actively working at bettering herself each day, which is inspiring in itself. Would recommend picking up Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert before this though, as they have similar ideologies, with Gilbert's being a clearer read.
