Not her best book, still good, wish there was more to the ending after such buildup

I actually haven't read the first two books in The Friend Zone series, but I wanted to read this one. Huntington's disease runs in my family, so the plot about ALS in Life's Too Short hit close to home for me. I really liked this book. Sure, some of the situations were a bit serendipitous, but that's typical for a rom-com novel. I wanted to live more like Vanessa by the end.

I enjoyed this book. Narration was excellent. I related to the book in the sense I was the one in the family who had my shit together. The main character had lost her sister to ALS and it was the driving factor to live life to the fullest.

Uh so what the fuck. I did not anticipate CRYING MY EYES OUT. This was such a beautiful story and Adrian is literally the cutest and would like one immediately. His relationship with Vanessa is just so great. This is definitely a slow burn and I do wish it had moved just a smidge faster, but that's just me. And I actually wished Grace played a bigger role, I feel like the first half she was a driving force but the back half I almost forgot about her.

Jimenez always does a great job of creating a realistic and unbreachable issue between characters, and I like that there's not always an easy solution the way there is in most romance novels. Makes it difference. I also love that her novels take place in the same universe??? Love love love
