Oh dear, how I loved these books thirty years ago. Who knew there was a fifth book in the trilogy - not me. But this one is a bit dark and bitter. But it did remind me how much I had loved the first four books in the trilogy, so I'm glad I read it. And yes, I'll read the 6th book, written by someone else, just to see how that works out for everyone.

Douglas Adams. Just love him. Although, in the midst of how incredibly hilarious they are, I always forget how sad they seem at the end.

i hate to say it but i'm so happy this series is finally over. i LOVE the first one, really enjoyed the second one and from the third one it was all just downhill. none of this made any sense (even less than usual). it just felt like we needed to add more and more characters and make it as ridiculous as possible.

Took two long runs to listen to this audiobook. Laugh out loud funny is not ideal when you’re trying to maintain breathing.

By far the worst in the series.

Must say, a very enjoyable conclusion to the Hitchhiker's series. Found So Long and Thanks for All the Fish less entertaining and I was worried that this would be in a similar state. Good surprise and kept me sane working in the vineyards

I'm glad I'm finally finished with this series. You can definitely tell that this was originally supposed to be a trilogy. The last two books were pretty pointless.

Oh I enjoyed this! I was a little worried I'd be disappointed after how the 4th book went, but this was such a strong finish to the series. It sort of lacked some of the more witty slapstick style of humor from the first 2-3 books, but had some deeply layered irony that I almost appreciated more at this last stage. Worth making it to the end of the series!
