Aston did well - she even made me love her virgin heroine (which is truly a feat, I usually don't enjoy virgin heroines in my romances). And there was so much humor, and all the feels.

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Where do I even start with Good Girl? It was so much fun! But it was also very, very hot. Lydia is not your typical romance heroine, that's for sure. She's a little naïve. A lot fun. Very organized. A great friend. And she works hard. She really want's to get rid of her pesky virginity though. In fact, that's been the case for quite a while. She just hasn't really felt like ripping her clothes off for anyone so far. Until she meets Rhys. Then, she wants.

And Rhys is quite remote. He's definitely not looking for a good girl. He has no time to give to a girlfriend, and he's quite happy with hooking up for a night, with girls who will leave. At least he thinks he is. Until he meets Lydia. And he can't stop thinking about her.

Aston mixes humor and hotness very well, and she outdid herself with Good Girl. I laughed out loud. I squirmed. I laughed some more. And even if Lydia is fairly young, I found her to be very relatable on many levels. Her awkwardness made her so real, because so often, romance heroines are very confident and sure of themselves. Lydia is confident in some situations, but with a guy, she's definitely not.

If you're looking for a story that is both hot and fun, Good Girl is a good bet for you! It is well written, fast paced, and is filled with characters that you will want to stay with for longer than the duration of the book.

Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Our apartment is great. We have a gym and a pool and a dog park and bocce ball courts. I don't have a dog and I don't know anyone who plays bocce ball, or even what it is really, but it's nice to have.

I must be the sluttiest non-slut in the country. I'm a wannabe slut, which is just sorta sad, isn't it?

I've kissed guys before and none of them made me feel like this. They made me feel, if I'm being honest, apathetic. Hence why I'm still a virgin. Because why bother? If a guy makes you feel like you could take it or leave it, just why bother? Yes this guy makes me feel like I could be actively promiscuous. Yup. When I see him I'm pretty sure I've got untapped slut potential.

This book is so much fun! You'll love Lydia (the Heroine.) She is so oblivious about things (sex mostly,) and so clueless about guys. Just listening to her inner dialog will have you in stitches, and don't get me started on her actual conversations. You can totally imagine Rhys' (the Hero) stone faced expression every time Lydia started rambling on, especially when she has no clue what she is doing to him. She's the 'good girl' but when these two are together, it's like she's the irresponsible one and he's the one to tame her. (Of course he is many years older than her... more experienced, older and wiser and all that.)

Although the basis of this book is about sex, (Lydia wanting to lose her virginity, meets Rhys, and knows she wants him to take the honors, and goes to extreme to make that happen,) all the sex isn't what gives this book it's entertainment value. It's the humor and the interactions between this couple. (So if you are looking for a smut read you may be a tad disappointed.) Though there are a couple of hot scenes (which are pretty well described,) so it's not sex free, and it is mentioned, talked about, thought about plenty... ok, so maybe you won't be disappointed at all.

It's well written and reads quickly and easily. It's a fun story with a different twist on the whole 'virgin auction' thing. What really makes this book, though, is the characters. They are great. Even the side characters are funny and add a little something to the book.

If you've read Sure Thing, this is a kinda spin off of that book. New couple involved, but you will see a couple familiar faces. This is a complete stand alone though, so if you haven't read that book, no worries.

Due to the sexual nature of the book, it is suitable for mature readers.

My stomach still hurts from laughing so hard!

Lydia is one Crazy Virgin Nerdy girl that will have you totally being team V!

Rhys is such a manwhore who as soon as he meets Lydia, her type of crazy brings out a side of him he never thought could be possible.

These two together are perfect.

And the sexy times in this book were off the charts hot!

This book is told in dual Point of views so you get an equal amount of Lydia & Rhys's thinking.

Lydia's crazy best friend Payton had me rolling.  I thought Lydia was funny but Payton is her twin when it comes to outrageous ideas.

I am looking forward to Payton book. I know it will be soo good.

Seriously after reading this book I want to go to a Goodwill store, eat some Del Taco & watch tons of HGTV & find me a Rhys!

After 22 year-old Lydia gets the kiss of her life by a total stranger in a bar, she knows she wants him to take her virginity. But when the sexy stranger turns out to be her boss's boss's boss, she realizes it might take a bit more persuading to get Rhys to consider her offer. What better than a scheme with the local gentlemen's club's owner and an auction to get Rhys's attention? I love Payton and Lydia's friendship and how they interacted with each other. The auction part of it felt far fetched to me and Lydia's naivete was a bit intense. She kept second guessing everything and it got in the way of the story.

Have I mentioned my obsession for office authority romances? I mean seriously... the book boner is strong with this one my comrades...

I will admit, I have never read anything from Jana Aston until now, quite frankly I have never heard of her until now. Which is in fact really depressing because after reading this I found out that this is just another author to add to my ever growing TBR Pile... seriously it is never ending.

Mostly what I loved was the fact that I could pick up on how her writing style was just super fun, it was entertaining, hilarious, I was almost always chuckling the entire read. The characters were amazingly relatable, with witty, smart and charismatic dialogue. So right off the bat, I can tell you I enjoyed a lot of her writing style. Really setting a bar high on her other books to live up to as I continue reading through.

Rhys was probably the hottest thing ever. I just... ugh I can't. I loved every inch of that man. Completely swoon worthy, melt off my seat to pick me back up and lick it over kind of hot. Rhys had this personality that is one of my favorites because honestly it is what I am attracted to in actual real men, not just fictional men. The dry humor, with a slight snide ass hole presence that was completely too serious for their own good - I love it. He was just an easy character to fall head over heels for, just adored every inch of his character. Plus his friendship with Cannon. I need more of them together!

Lydia on the other hand was a bit of both love/hate. Her personality was definitely a mixture of things that I personally could relate to - on one spectrum she was open mouthed, the word vomit that came out was just hilarious, and she was a bit of a nerd. Mixing this nerdy gal with a no filter attitude in a fresh adult is asking for trouble - she was a fun character and I loved this personality trait about her.

Why did I have a hate for Lydia? Especially when I gush for her so much? Easy... it comes in part with the chemistry. Ugh I know - the chemistry is always the BEST part. This is strictly my preference, the novel was still great, but because of Lydia's 'no filter' word vomit personality, there were some awkward moments that I just did not like about the book during their chemistry. Not all the time, but definitely enough of it for me to say... hmmm, this part I am not a fan of so much. I know that is slightly vague but if I flat out admit the parts it will definitely give away spoilers, so I won't actually say when/where. But you will know when you get there if you hold the same opinion I did.

Again, it was just a personal preference for me. I love dirty talk. I love kink. What turns me off on books is random, awkward word vomit during certain scenes that makes the meshing not so flowing. For me, it just makes me less invested.

Before I continue to downward spiral, because really this was a great book, I loved it and I LOVED the chemistry. Lydia and Rhys together was hot. Their connection was tension filled from the moment they met and it was delicious. I would have liked a little more build in the middle bits, but the climax was amazing.

Definitely really enjoyed the novel for the most part, aside from my pet peeve, it was fast paced, entertaining read. The plot was definitely well written, it is one of my favorite tropes in the romance world that is for sure. Aston had a way of conveying this hilariously, sexy romance with sweet moments without making an over the top, exaggerated romance which is definitely refreshing.

I will say I have heard a lot of great things about this author, I have not read any of her other works and from my understanding her WRONG Series is kickass, so you know what I will be splurging on shortly!
