I hate to admit it but I felt really let down by the second installment. I kept cringing from the millennial humor and just how much I kept remembering how just weird the writing style felt. I enjoy a dark romance as much as the next girl but the baby trapping was so gross to me i kept being reminded I was in fact reading a book, it just didn’t suck me in. It felt forced. Hayden just didn’t feel like a real character I don’t know. I feel bad because the first book was so fun but idk?? I love when the MMC is psychotic let’s be real but I felt unsettled. I’m sorry Morgan Bridges!! It was hot sometimes but this one didn’t do it for me.

Ngl I was a little disappointed in this book...I ignored quite a bit of unrealistic emotions during the first book but this book...it was just too hard to ignore. I mean you find out that your boyfriend/stalker killed your dad and forgive him so easily. Even though she asks for time to process she still pretty much instantly forgives him...like come on lady...
Not a bad duet but...definitely won't be rereading this one.
