I enjoyed this book so much. This is exactly the kind of book I’ve been trying to find.

I went into this book not really knowing what it was supposed to be. I was really under the impression it was creature horror themed. The ending of this book gave me such a thrill since I wasn’t expecting it to be a human (serial killer).
The very beginning on the book reminded me of the true story of the lost girls of Panama. The way the girls went off trail and how they took a series of pictures. The pictures were hard to decipher, what exactly were they trying to take pictures of or were they trying to scare something away? Maybe the author was inspired by the true story or maybe it’s completely unrelated.

Eehhh….very predictable and repetitive. I feel like this book had a page count to meet so needed to add the same thing different time in the middle. The book really dragged on for me and about 60% of the way I just wanted to be done with it. I would recommend this book to fans of YA thrillers or someone who is new to this genre and enjoys a slow burn. If you’re someone who reads A LOT and has room on your TBR then I wouldn’t say don’t read it but wouldn’t ever be a first to recommend from me

Listened to the audiobook on this one. I really wanted to love it but I found myself getting bored during this book and not wanting to pick it up. The beginning and the end were fun but I felt that the middle part was a bit to long and not a lot happened. The tension building was good and for most of the book I didn’t know what was going on which in this case is a great sign. I did guess the plot twist a couple of chapters before it was revealed, but other than that I was in the dark for most of the book. I still enjoyed it and I do recommend it I just think that books like this aren’t really my genre.
