I absolutely loved the characters, but the plot was boring and didn't really make much sense. Like, I could follow it, I just don't get why it matters. I think I need more information and context, because right now, I don't care. I think I'm going to read the next volume because the characters are awesome and I want to know more about them. Irene and her partner are so cool I'm having a tiny bit of a lesbian meltdown over them but it's fine. Here's hoping the plot improves.

This was a fun ride! Art style is so fun, characters are we fleshes out, and great diversity as well! Since it was so short it did move SO fast and the climax happened super abruptly, but I guess I’ll just have to read the next one!

Lately I’ve been so busy with work, spending so much time in front of the computer reading ultra complex research that, when I’m done for the day, I can’t stomach spending even more hours reading, no matter how much i love reading and how excited I am for the books.
That’s when graphic novels come to save the day.
It’s the perfect solution to my problem: I still get to read books without absolutely killing my brain.
Heavy Vinyl is a graphic novel just of sapphics, kickass women in a secret underground fight club that all work together in a vinyl shop during the day. I mean, what’s not to love about that?
I can only describe this graphic novel as adorable and badass. I loved the female empowerment and justice, all the characters and the progression of the story.
All in all, I had a great time reading this and completely breezed through it. I’m already looking forward to the next volume.
