So good! At times the multiple POVs were hard to keep up with and it could be difficult to keep up with the jumps between past and present. It really kept me hooked and I love how everything came together at the end.

I would give this book 4.5 stars. For me, it didn’t really start to pick up until about page 80, but I wouldn’t say I was bored necessarily. I found the aspects of this book to complex in that it had me questioning my own judgement sometimes,

specifically when it came to Owen’s character. There were moments where I really liked him and felt sorry for him and then something would happen that would make me wonder why I ever felt that way toward him. I also found Saffyre’s development to be interesting and I almost wish we saw a little bit more of that “feral” unraveling of her because it felt like it started to get really dark with her and then we didn’t hear much more about it. That said, I am glad she got her happy ending and justice. Lastly, the thing that got me the most was the ending with Roan. He went from a cheating husband who was just kind of an asshole to someone who is sick and twisted in the worst kind of way. I wasn’t expecting that at all.

Overall, one of my favorites from Lisa Jewell.

Pretty good but the perp was extremely obvious. Maybe I just read too many thrillers? I still liked it. Although the book was way longer than it should have been.
