Oh my! A very funny teen book! I liked that the main character was frustrated and unsure of herself minus a lot of the whining and self wallowing many of the authors make these young girls do! It was just a fun light read and very quick.

A friend of mine recommended this series to me a while ago. "It's so funny, if you need a good laugh," she had said.

I agree it was a great, fun, and quick read. I'm glad I finally got around to her recommendation.

Jokavuotinen perinteeni on lukea nämä kirjat, yleensä kesäaikaan.

No joo, perus teinihömppää. Oikeasti hauskoja, nauroin useasti. Muutama hivenen syvällisempi lausahdus (izzie!) mutta muuten kovin pinnallista. Jostain syystä vain pidän näistä vuodesta toiseen.

This is a re-read, but i'm gonna count it lol i think the last time i read it was when i was in high school and i read the transaltion version. Now that i'm older it's still very readable and FAST (finished it in just a few hours. i don't remember the last time i finished a book in a day, let alone in hours). I love the characters i love the writing. The story really brought me back to my teenage self. I found a lot of similarities with Lucy, we're both insecure about our looks and our skill, we're more into arts and fashion than math and science, all we think and want is just this particular boy that we have a crush on lol. This is so comforting for me, still. Now I'm just thinking was I the way I was because of this book, or I was already like that and I just found a perfectly relatable book for me? But I think it's both. I took away some stuff from this book to my life and personality at that time, while i was already pretty interested in those things.

The book is aging pretty good i think, except maybe about the white saviourness topic. Other than that there's nothing offensive. Oh and Tony was a pretty horrible actually.

The fashion in it is pretty much on trend now (y2k) AND this book explained about birth charts! It was unheard of at that time, so I was surprised to find that apparently I've read about birth chart but EVERYTHING went over my head??
