I first came across Jackson through HPA videos shortly before he transitioned. I was excited when he announced his memoir. It’s an enjoyable read and it also has nice informational sections sprinkled throughout some of the chapters.

This book was one I fell right into and didn’t want to put down. It was a great read that I’d highly recommend to everyone and helps you see things from a perspective not often highlighted in everyday life.

Me, when I started reading this: oh idk how much I'm gonna like this, I usually don't read memoirs anyway, I'll probably get bored
Me, after finishing, with tears in my eyes: omg this was the gender afformation I didn't know I needed thank u for the feels
Like honestly, my experience is SO different from Jackson's but the parallels and milestones I haven't achieved yet were making me so emotional whew

Part memoir, part trans education handbook. Really well done. Only issue is that the type in the paperback version is so tiny (also, I'm getting old). Highly recommend.
