This book was amazing and I can't believe it took me so long to get to reading it!

The characters were absolutely amazing and I just adored them all. Especially Stella becasue she was so cool and fiery and just an amazing human. As were all of the other characters in this book, Felix in particular.

The plot was wonderful and the pacing was amazing. I loved the whole polar fantasy aspect of it becasue it was just amazing and I had such an amazing time reading it.

Really cute fantasy/adventure book for ages 10+ I'd say.

A young girl is the main character. She was found as an orphan in the snow by an adventurer who then took her home and adopted her. Now she's a bit older she is actually going on an expedition into the ice with him! Not so easy to get the permission, as girls are supposed to stay home and behave....

I liked how Stella simply refuses to be a "good young lady" and how her friend Beany obviously has some sort of autism or a similar condition - and he still is an accepted and normal addition to her friends. People are different and that's normal and something to be celebrated!

A nice, funny and entertaining tale that has magic eggs, mini dinosaurs who get bathed in fruit loops and milk and quite some more crazy ideas! Quite enjoyed it.

Super fun! Don't know why it took me so long to read because it was quite engaging. I enjoyed the characters and the plot was exciting. I look forward to reading the second in the series. Hopefully I'll read it a little faster than this one! This is a fun book with a strong female character leed that I think tweens would really enjoy.

You know how kitchen-sink soup is delicious most of the time, but every once and a while you get a terrible batch and you realize that you should not have combined those particular leftovers? This is like that, with a vaguely Victorian vibe. And maybe just a hint of colonialism.
