What a slow burn,
it took them over 100 pages to actually meet!
But I did enjoy the slow-burn and how sweet and thoughtful Leon was, not rushing into it.

It was interesting to see the whole Justin thing progress as she started seeing the emotional abuse he inflicted for what it was, as she went on her healing journey!

All the x’s (kisses) after the messages they’d write for each other was so cringe but it’s British so whatever, it’s expected.

Read this all in one day, and wept like a baby at the end. So tender, so sweet, and such a thoughtful portrayal of what Leon calls a “post-trauma situation”. I really don’t ever read romance but damn, if they’re all like this I could be so interested

A sweet, lighthearted read. I listened to the audiobook, and enjoyed the use of two narrators. I also liked that it was easy to distinguish Leon's chapters due to the distinctively different writing style. All of the subplots were fun to follow as well, it kept the story going in it's slower phases.
