I initially picked up this book because I'm planning on watching the movie starring Harry Styles, and of course, I need to read the book first. Most people probably start reading this book expecting a romance, but this book isn't a romance. This story is about being gay in the 1950s, complex relationships, friendships, mistakes and regrets, and love that comes in different ways.
It was a beautifully written story, and I can't wait to see it on film.
