This trilogy including the two short stories was everything. It‘ll be living rentfree in my heart and soul forever!
I just want what they have!
It was finding and loosing love, be patient, denying love until you don‘t, found family, healing together, getting through good and horrible times together, getting a even stronger relationship, growing together, getting a more dimensional relationship.
Learning from each other, getting over the racial dimension. I loved it how they fought for their relationship, fought against white and black differences.
This story showed: Love is colorblind. And i fucking loved it.
I even can get over bristal‘s (8 long years) stubbornness and grip‘s dealing with women like his briefs in this time… i hated this part, but when it FINALLY happened it felt so fucking right!
(And you even got a glimpse of the third hoops-protagonist.)

And i‘m happy i got myself the trilogy with the two short stories. I needed these extensions.

These books have sucked me in, dragged me to my knees, made me fall so deep in love that there’s no turning back. My heart has been filled by waterfalls, drained through sink holes and topped back up little by little. I laughed. I cried. I threw things.

There were times I had to stop reading to re enter myself, to remind myself that there will be a happy ending. There were moments that their love reminded me that my own relationship can stand against anything that comes at us.

This is one of those series that you wish you could read again for the first time. And if I had my way, I’d read it all in one go. Plan a weekend away from the world and sit in the studio or learn something at a lecture with Grip; follow Bristol around and learn from her bad-assery! I would completely lose myself in their world. In their love.

Kennedy Ryan’s words are poetry. They make me feel in a world where I have thrown up walls of steel and guarded my heart heavily. And for that, I thank her. From the bottom of my heart.

I can see why everybody loves this series but, I just like it. Bristol and sometimes Grip did annoy me to pieces but, their love story is also one of my favorites that I got to see grow and blossom. Also loved that wasn't to much miscommunication in certain parts of these books.
Trigger Warnings: racism, racial profiling, blackmail, cheating, gun violence, drugging, sexual assault, child neglect, and loss of a child

Honestly fell in love with this book. Grip and Bristol, the love they have for eachother is out of this world. Iv never highlighted a book so much in all my years of reading. It’s beautiful, it’s eye opening, it’s truthful an so honest. This book touched my soul an il never forget it

This book was… is… everything. It’s no secret I’m a fan of Kennedy Ryan’s writing but this series was absolutely stunning. The words, the story, the emotions, the everything. This book is so much more than just a love story between two people and I will, without a doubt, be telling everyone I know to read this series. Grip and Bristol’s journey is one I will never forget. Ryan’s words are magic; Her stories compelling.
